Y -- NEW POWERHOUSE BUILDING SOL IFB 11202-006 POC Curtis Courtney, (606) 253-8889 The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Office Requires a contractor to construct a new Powerhouse Building at the Federal Correctional Institution, Milan, MI. The powerhouse facility will be approximately 13,250 sf in size. The powerhouse shall contain a 50,000 pound per hour high pressure steam plant, domestic hot water plant, and a 4.8 kv metal clad electrical distribution switchgear. The powerhouse will include a 2,900 sf workshop. The project will also include an approximate 3,200 lf series of concrete tunnels/trenches. Trenches and tunnels will contain high pressure steam, condenstate return, domestic hot water, chilled water, and treated domestic water. Utility connections will be made to eight buildings. New underground electrical distribution will be provided throughout the 128 acre site in concrete ductbank. The shall be a 730 calendar day completion period. All other specifications are contained in the specifications and drawings. An award to a single prime contractor shall be made, based on price. The magnitude is greater than $10 million. The anticipated issuance date is 09/01/00. The anticipated due date is 10/11/00. The sic code is 1629. There will be a $270.00 non refundable charge for the Specifications and Drawings.
