Z -- INTERIOR REFURBISHMENT & PAINTING FOR TRACY MAINTENANCE FACILITY VEHICLE SHOP SOL DE-RP65-00WN54499 DUE 081600 POC Sharon Bates, Contracting Officer; PH: (916) 353-4469 or FAX: (916) 985-1933 Western Area Power Administration has a requirement to construct new and replacement interior walls and ceiling surfacing materials and new interior finish painting for the Tracy Maintenance Facility Vehicle Shop. The work is located at the Tracy Maintenance Facility, 16800 Kelso Rd., Byron, CA in Alameda County. This vehicle shop is a metal Butler building and has existing interior framing and furring materials. In various areas these existing materials are either missing and/or falling and need replacing. Description of Work: Remove and dispose of all remaining wood battens and insulation board materials in the ceiling area; furnish and install new wood framing materials as needed in 6 ceiling skylights(abandoned)locations; furnish and install new sheets of white face insulation board and cut to fit as required to replace missing insulation board; re-secure any loose existing wood battens on interior wall surfaces thoughout the building with new screws; patch or repair miscellaneous holes in existingwhite face insulation boards in remaining wall areas (20+ holes estimated); PAINT REMOVAL -- Interior galvanized & corrugated metal siding has been previously painted yellow. Paint is deteriorating and has been tested for lead. The results show this off-yellow paint to contain 15,000 ppm lead. Contractor shall remove & dispose of all remaining yellow paint from corrugated metal siding only. A licensed lead abatement contractor shall perform this removal & disposal effort of this yellow paint. Cleaning -- entire interior of vehicle shop shall be cleaned in preparation for painting and shop painted. This procurement is being pursued as a firm-fixed price effort and the estimated construction magnitude is less than $25,000. This procurement is covered by the Small Business Demonstration Program. Under this program offers will be accepted from both large and small business. The Standard Industrial Code is 1742 with a size standard of $7.0 Million.
