10 -- DISTRIBUTED EXPLOSIVE TECHNOLOGY DETONATION CORD- SOL N00024-00-R-6318 POC POC: Sonja Truehart-McKinney, Contract Specialist (703) 602-0951 x638 NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office Mine and Undersea Warfare (PMS 407) intends to procure, under full and open competition, The Live Detonation Cord for the Shallow Water Distributed Explosive Technology (DET) Mine Clearance System (MCS). The Live Detonation Cord is to be used as part of the Distribution Explosive Technology (DET) System, EX 10 MOD 0. Requirements include manufacturing, inspecting, testing, and delivery of DET Live Detonation Cord. The requirement is for a basic quantity of 120 feet of Pre-Production Sample Live Detonation Cord, 35,000 feet of First Article (FA) production Live Detonation Cord, and 497,000 feet of production Live Detonation Cord. The required delivery for the basic will be 9 months after the effective date of the contract. There will be three options with remaining requirements of 360 feet of Pre-Production Live Detonation Cord and 1,832,000 feet of Production Live Detonation Cord. The options, is exercised will require delivery commencing 9 months after the option is exercised. It is contemplated that the contract will be issued on a FOB Origin basis. The delivery point will be determined at time of award. The RFP is expected to be available on the NAVSEA Headquarters Contracts Directorate Homepage the later part of July 2000. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.0102 (a) (7) and 14.205-1 (c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided.
