Line-of-Sight Anti-Tank (LOSAT) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) Plus Enhancement Effort, Contract DAAH01-98-C-0156. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to solicit a request for proposal (RFP) on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control -- Dallas (LMMFC-D), Dallas, Texas, for enhancements to the LOSAT ACTD Program. This effort will entail enhancement of the LOSAT design to meet the new LOSAT Operational Requirements Document requirements, additional qualification of the system's components, performance of additional Logistics Support Analyses to support the immediate fielding of a LOSAT company after completion of User test activities, and to support acceleration of production by two years. This effort will be a modification to the existing LOSAT Contract DAAH01-98-C-0156 and is planned for award in November 2000. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES AND INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. Subcontracting opportunities must bearranged directly with LMMFC-D and any potential subcontractors. Period of performance will be from contract modification issuance through March 2004. The LOSAT ACTD Plus Enhancement program will contain both classified and unclassified data and data whose export is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, USC Sec 2751 et seq) or the Export Administration Act (Title 50, USC App 2401-2402). Foreign industry and/or non-U.S. citizens desiring a copy of the releasable portion of the RFP must submit an official request through their respective embassy, Washington, D.C. to HQDA, ATTN: DAMI-POC. Foreign-owned, controlled, or influenced (FOCI) entities desiring a copy of the releasable portions of the LOSAT ACTD Plus Enhancement RFP must submit an official request to the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, ATTN: AMSAM-SI-CI-TF, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898; however, release is not guaranteed. Request from foreign industry and/or FOCI entities received by any other means will not be honored. Because this RFP contains SECRET data, it will not be issued to anyone not holding a SECRET Facility Clearance and therefore you are requested to provide a CAGE Code with your request for the RFP.
