15 -- 1/5 SCALE REMOTE PILOTED VEHICLE TARGET (RPVT) SOL DAAH01-00-R-0347 POC Betty L. Smith, Contract Specialist, AMSAM-AC-SM-H, (256)955-9290 or Ellis Bedwell, Contracting Officer, (256) 842-7308 RFP DAAH01-00-R-0347 provides for acquisition of additional targets hardware 1/5 scale remotely piloted vehicle targets (RPVT), in support of U.S. Army and Marine Corps live fire training exercises at the National Training Center (NTC) and off-site training locations worldwide. Initial award will be for the following 1/5 scale targets: SU-25 w/IR & Smoke -- 140 ea MI-24 w/IR & Smoke -- 67 ea SU-25 w/Smoke -- 14 ea MI-24 w/Smoke -- 6 ea and option quantity for up to 900 additional 1/5 scale targets of various configurations to include: SU-25 w/IR & Smoke SU-25 w/Miles & Smoke MI-24 w/IR & Smoke MI-24 w/Miles & Smoke SU-25 w/Smoke MI-24 w/Smoke SU-25 w/o Payload MI-24 w/o payload to be exercised thru 2001. Targets should be delivered at a rate of 75 targets per month. This is a sole source requirement to continental RPVS, 3811 Lenwood Road, Barstow, CA 92311-5818, to be added to current contract DAAH01-96-C-0060. The ground support equipment (GSE) necessary for performance of flight services is provided by Continental RPVS, and the contract does not contain provisions for the purchase of GSE. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The issue date for the solicitation is expected to be on or about 11 August 2000.
