Flood, marsha.d.flood@usace.army.mil. This project entails installing automation mechanization equipment at the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Virginia with small business contractors. The project consists of installing mechanical equipment ranging in style from conveyor belts, hydrostatic test stations with pits to constructing and installing paint spray booths, sound booths and reaching machines and providing the necessary support to operate these machines. The equipment to be installed is both new and existing, utilizing LPG as the energy source. There is some minor construction involved along with the installation of HVAC, plumbing and electrical utility support. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000.00 and $750,000.00. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. To be considered, a firm must be considered a small business under SIC Code 3599. The solicitation will be available via internet only. The solicitation will not be issued in paper format. Notification of amendments may be made by facsimile, floppy disk, compact disk and/or postings to the Internet. The media selected for solicitation amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly. As separate notifications for each amendment may not be sent to planholders, bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the Internet for amendments.
