Fully integrated portable MCA including Digital Signal Processor, high voltage power supply, digital stabilizer and 16K memory/conversion. Inspiron 7500 Notebook Specifications are detailed in Dell & COM Catalog Number 16 RC956934. This system utilizes Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology. DSP is required by WSMR to minimize temperature-induced shifts in calibration of the system when used here in the southwest where large temperature swings are routinely experienced. Analog data processing is inherently temperature sensitive. The WSMR system is required for outdoor environmental monitoring surveys and therefore will be exposed to larger temperature swings, thus requiring DSP for accurate data processing. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Canberra Industries, 800 Research Parkway, Meriden, CA 06450. To be considered, respondents must meet or exceed the performance of the Portable Gamma Spectroscopy system.
