The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with NIDA Corporation on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302. The Government believes that this contractor is the only source able to provide the required supplies and Services within the time frame required. There is no Solicitation document for this acquisition. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Requirement items are for NIDA Corporation, Electronics Training Classroom consisting of an instructor console, twenty (20) student systems, courseware and assorted experiment cards. All items are to be networked in the classroom and fully compatible and configurable with existing electronic training systems to teach up to 420 different hours of lesson material. Experiment cards are specifically designed for Digital Fundamental lessons allowing instruction of 60 students simultaneously in any computer-aided instruction (CAI) equipped classroom.
