combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and
all quotes are being requested at this time. A written solicitation
will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for
Quotation (RFQ) on a requirement under RFQ 2000-Q-00153. The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-18. This solicitation is
procurement under Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code of
3599 (Industrial and Commercial Machinery and Equipment, N.E.C.), with
a size standard of 500 employees. The vendor shall provide unit price
for the following, showing a delivery schedule for each item. The
Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to
the responsible offer whose offer conforming to the solicitation will
be most advantageous to the Government, based on price and the listed
factors in this order of BEST VALUE, BEST PRICE, AND A TIMELY DELIVERY
SCHEDULE (Optimum Proposed Delivery Schedule). Vendor must be able to
provide all items listed and provide quotes for all items requested.
The following items are requested on this RFQ: The following items as
manufactured by InterMetro Industries Corporation, MetroMax Storage
System. Open Grid Shelves, 18" x 48" (1848GX) -- 210 each; Open Grid
Shelves, 18" x 36" (1836GX) -- 216 each; Stem Post (74UPXCUT, Post to
be cut to 71") -- 284 each; Stem Caster w/Bumper (5PCX) -- 142 each;
Stem Caster w/Brake (PCBX) -- 142 each; Product will be used
continuously in an atmosphere of 80% humidity, 78-80 degrees F -- 24
hours per day/ 7 days a week. Manufacturer must provide lifetime
warranty against rust and corrosion in addition to the standard
manufaturers warranty. 48" shelves must have a capacity of 600 pounds
and 36" shelves must have a capacity of 800 pounds. Shelves must be
removable and dishwasher safe. Posts to have numbered grooves at 1"
increments, with 12" adjustment. Plastic or rubber coated materials are
not acceptable. Delivery to be F.O.B. Destination -- CDC, 1600 Clifton
Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30333 (Price shall include shipping cost). Vendor
must provide with quotation complete product information and product
codes. CDC believes that its requirements are only met by the product
as provided by InterMetro Industries Corporation, MetroMax Storage
Systems; however all responsible sources that can meet the requirements
listed above may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency.

Instructions to Offers-Commercial Items (NOV 1999) and the following
clauses incorporated by addendum apply. -- At paragraph (c), "Period of
Acceptance of Offers." Has been determined by the Contracting Officer
to be non-applicable to this solicitation and is hereby removed in its
entirety for the purpose of this requirement; At paragraph (e),
"Multiple Offers", has been determined by the Contracting Officer to be
non-applicable to this so;icitation and is hereby removed in its

Identification (OCT 1998) Federal Tax I.D. Number must be submitted

Certifications-Commercial Items (OCT 1999) is incorporated and is
required to be submitted with the vendors quote. The best way to
complete this certification is to download the FAR Clauses from the

and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be sent with the quotation
