Bunn (252) 335-6607 or (252) 335-6840 fax This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotations (DTCG38-00-Q-410114) incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This acquisition is unrestricted and open to both small and large business concerns. Overhaul hydraulic test machine model #HTS-25-PM50 in accordance with the following technical requirements. All work must be completed on site. Standard electric, water and restroom facilities will be available. Overhaul shall be scheduled to coincide with the shop renovation. The renovation is tentatively scheduled for Sep/Oct 2000. Exact dates will be coordinated with the COTR. Working hours will be Monday through Friday 0645-1615. All work shall be completed within 21 calendar days of notice to proceed. The COTR will accomplish inspection and acceptance of all work. The Service Contract Act applies and wage determination #94-2543 revision #21 applies. Copies of the wage determination are available upon request from SKC Bunn (252) 335-6607. The primary Contracting Officer's Technical Representative will be Mr. Ronald McKinney and the alternate will be Mr. Ronald James (252) 335-6265. Contact the COTR to schedule a site visit. Technical Requirements: 1.Repair or replace control knobs and valve handles as required 2. Replace flow control cable 3. Replace all flex hoses (non-rigid lines) 4. Install new water to oil cooler (rated to remove 35HP) 5. Replace water supply and return lines with copper tubing 6. Flush system lines 7. Clean reservoir tank and strainers inside of tank 8. Repair Denison pump and Walter gear drive accessory unit 9. Install a waste oil reservoir with level indication and drain valve to test-bench sink drain (capacity of approximately 5 US gallons) 10. Replace water flow control valve (currently Powers/Mark Controls Corporation Flowrite valve) 11. Replace pump/motor test return filter assembly with readily available/economical brand, which has pop-up type by-pass indication 12. Replace pump/motor test case drain filter assembly with readily available/economical brand which has pop-up type by-pass indication 13. Replace 10-micron boost pressure filter assembly with readily available/economical brand, which will utilize existing pressure differential/clogging, lighted indicator and safety shutdown system 14. Replace 3-micron high-pressure filter assembly with readily available/economical brand, which will utilize existing pressure differential/clogging lighted indicator and safety shutdown system 15. Replace water separation /filtration with more efficient type 16. Test and replace any defective pressure cut-off valves. (6 each) 17. Test and replace any defective pressure switches. (6 each) 18. Test and replace any defective pressure relief valves (5 each). FAR provision, 52.212-2 does not apply in that award will be made based on price.
