The RFP for the cost comparison study for the most efficient and cost effective method of providing distribution services in the management and operation of the Defense Distribution Depot San Diego, (DDDC) located in San Diego, CA will be available and issued on August 15, 2000 over the Internet at the following address http://www.supply.dla.mil/a76. The resultant contract awarded, if any, will be awarded on an all or none basis as a fixed price contract. The contract performance period will be a three year base period with the potential of an additional two year option period. This requirement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. SIC and Size Standard is 4225 -- 18.5M. This solicitation will not result in a contract if Government performance is determined to be more advantageous in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 procedures. Hard copies of the RFP will not be available. Past Performance information will be required NLT September 29, 2000. The RFP closing date is October 13, 2000. The Pre-proposal Conference and Site Visit will be held on Sunday, August 27 and Monday August 28, 2000 starting at 8:00 a.m. at DDDC, San Diego, CA. There will be a DSS Demonstration on Monday, August 28th, 2000 starting at 12:30 p.m. Only those having confirmed reservations prior to COB August 21, 2000 will be permitted to attend.
