DESC: Request FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) #2-01-JC-17-36, for the operation of the Oneonta Job Corps Center, located in Oneonta, New York, will be available on the World Wide Web on or about August 18, 2000 at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period from March 1, 2001 through February 28, 2003, with three (3) Governmental unilateral renewal options of one (1) year each. The average capacity of the Oneonta Center is 370 Students (210 residential males and 160 residential females). A pre-proposal conference will take place on Friday, August 25, 2000, at 10:00 A.M.. It will convene at the Oneonta Job Corps Center, 247 West Street Oneonta, New York 13820 (telephone number (607) 433-2111). To find the Center, take Interstate 88 to the Oneonta exit which directs the driver to "colleges". The Center is located north of Oneonta on West Street past Hartwick College. Upon entering the facility the participants must proceed directly to the Solo ParentLounge for registration. The Solo Parent Lounge is in building #4 on the first floor. Please note, that this building has a "Main Floor" which is ground level. To reach the first floor you must go up one flight of stairs or take the elevator up one floor. There will be a tour of the facility immediately following the conference. [DRESS COMFORTABLY]. Interested offerors must limit their attendance to no more than three (3) individuals. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium; solicitation will be available for download free of charge via the World Wide Web at the Job Corps Acquisition Web Page. (http://www.wdsc.org/jobscorps/schedule.html) on or about August 18, 2000. Hard copies (paper sets) or CD-ROMs of the solicitation will not be provided by the Government. We recommend that interested parties download the RFP prior to attendance at the conference. The closing date for receipt for proposals will be October 17, 2000, at 12:00 Noon (EST). The solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Business concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8744. The Small Business Standard is a concern, including its affiliates, having an average amount of sales or receipts for the previous three fiscal years not in excess of $20,000,000. The 100% Small Business Set Aside does not preclude a Small Business from partnering with a Large Business when done in compliance with Federal Regulations.
