THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is XME026, and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) anticipates that the contract will be awarded as a small business set-aside -- FAR 19.502-2. A firm-fixed-price contract with a base period of one year and four, one-year option periods is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation. The associated Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7349 with a size standard of $12M in average annual receipts over the preceding three fiscal years. This is a procurement for custodial services at the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory in Corvallis, Oregon.
