Yosemite National Park (YNP)has a requirement for the collection of recyclables throughout Yosemite National Park and the El Portal Administrative Site. The contractor is responsible for transpoting the recyclables to a collection station located in the Yosemite Valley. There is total of 61 different collection sites with a total of 276 (32 gallon) bear proof containers. Collection sites includes the following: 1) El Portal Administartive Site, 2) Crane Flat, 3) Hodgdon Meadows, 4) Tioga Pass Road, 5) Yosemite Valley, 6) Glacier Point Road, and 7) Wawona Area. Collection sites are located at elevations ranging from 2,000 feet to 9,000 feet above sea level. Collection locations will vary according to the season. The collection times will vary according to peak season (April 1st through October 31) and non-peak season (November 1 through March 31). Collection during the Thansgiving and Christmas holidays required. All collected recyclables will be delivered to the Yosemite Recycling Center Warehouse located in the Yosemite Valley for processing. Please note that RECYCLABLE DEPOSITS WILL NOT be returned to the selected contractor. The selected contractor WILL NOT have any rights to the cash redemption value for the collected recyclables. The period of performance is from 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001, with four one-year options to extend the total potential period of performance to 5 years. The Government will award a firm fixed price contract. This solicitation is unrestricted. In accordance with FAR PArt 5.102 (2) & (3), a limited number of solicitations will be made available on a "first-come-first serve" basis. A total of 20 copies of this solicitation will be made available. Please note that collection times will be during normal working hours.
