The Contracting Squadron at Kirtland Air Force Base is accepting proposals for the packing, containerization, and local drayage of personal property shipments within the state of New Mexico. The performance period is 1 Oct 00 through 30 Sep 01 with four (4) one year option periods. Request for proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 24 Aug 00. Offers are due by 4:00 MST on 25 Sep 00. Award will be made on or about 29 Sep 00. This acquisition has been set-aside 100% for Small Business. The standard industrial classification (SIC) for this acquisition is 4783, business size standard is $18.5M. Firms responding should indicate if they are a Small Business, a Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business, an 8(a) Qualified Business or a Woman-owned Business. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors, primarily during the offer development phase of this acquisition.
