This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The project consists of renovating approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of the first floor of the VA Medical Center for customer service and other functions. Work includes site work, general construction, alterations, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work, necessary removal of existing structures and construction, to include limited asbestos abatement, and certain others items. The work is to be accomplished in 4 phases each with a distinct project area to be completed in a specified sequence. The VA medical center will remain occupied except for the area temporarily vacated for a particular phase of the construction. All work is to be completed within 365 calendar days. Cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and SIC Code 1542 applies. The VA is seeking qualified firms with the capacity and capability to perform this work.
