Fax 812-218-3937 This is a combined synosis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside under Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3554 having 500 or less employees. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The requirements are as follows: Paper shredding machine for shredding paper, plastic binders, and spiral binding. Strip cut size is 3/16 inch. Largest size piece to be shredded is 11" by 17". Capable of shredding thickness of 100 sheets of 20 pound bond paper. Minimum shredding rate of 2000 pounds per hour. Impact resistent cutters. Unit shall include worktable for at least two persons to load shredder belt. Emergency shut off switches and reverse switch. System will also include output conveyor with incline to vertical hopper with automatic and manual activation switch, and baler capable of producing 1000-1500 pound bales and with easy bale ejection. Manual tie. Extended warranty plans may also be offered as an option. Total of one system being purchased.
