59 -- EA-6B NIGHT VISION DEVICES TWIST TO DIM INDICATOR LIGHTS GREEN SOL N00019-00-R-0433 POC Contact: Peg Maguire, (301)757-7063 or Contracting Officer, Dirk A. The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for "Twist-to-Dim" indicator lights (cap and bulb) modified for night vision. Quantities for NVIS Green A are: base quantity, 30: Option I quantity, 339; Option II Quantity, 90 and NVIS Green B base quantity is 120; Option I quantity 1356; Option II quantity is 360. The indicator lights shall have the following performance requirements: Indicator lights shall be mountable on panels up to .375 inches thick or fit MS25041 indicator light base; the assembly shall be designed to use a MS25237-327, 28-volt, T-1 " bulb, incandescent, single contact midget flanged base lamp, which shall be included, with dimming features and a glass filter meeting the Class A radiance requirements and applicable chromaticity requirements of MIL-L-85762A for NVIS Green A and NVIS Green B colors in accordance with FED STD 595. Indicator lights shall be fabricated in accordance with applicable requirements of MIL-L-85762A "Lighting, Aircraft, Interior, Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Compatible" dated 26 August 1988. All first tier references cited in the MIL-L shall be mandatory; lower tier references shall be used for guidance only. Delivery schedule is eight weeks after contract award. This solicitation shall be released on or about August 10, 2000. This proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business. The applicable SIC code is 3647. The Navy intends to release the solicitation, including any subsequent amendments, via the Internet. The solicitation will reside on the NAVAIR Home Page located in the World Wide Web (WWW).
