59 -- EA-6B NIGHT VISION DEVICES REPLACEMENT GLASS FILTERS FOR SIDE CONSOLE FLOODLIGHT AND KNEEBOARD LIGHT HOOD SOL N00019-00-R-0436 POC Contact: Peg Maguire, (301)757-7063 Contracting Officer, Dirk A. The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for Replacement Glass Filters for the Side Console Floodlight and Kneeboard Light Hood for night vision capability.. Quantities for the Side Console Floodlight Filters are: base quantity, 100: Option I quantity, 1,130; Option II Quantity, 90. Quantities for the Kneeboard Hood Glass Filters base quantity is 30; Option I quantity 339; Option II quantity is 300. The replacement filters photopic and NVIS Radiance calculations shall be computed using a 2200-degree K blackbody. Photopic transmission shall be no greater than 16.5% and no less than 13.5%. Lighting chromaticity coordinates shall fall within Green A as defined in MIL-L-85762A when calculated using a 2200-degree K blackbody. The side console floodlight filter shall be .995" x 0.75" +/- 0.05 and will have a thickness of 0.120 +/- 0.05 and have corners rounded with a radius of 1/16". The Kneeboard light filter shall be 1.230 +/- 0.05 inches square and will have a thickness of 0.120" +/- 0.05 with .093corner radii. The side console floodlights and kneeboard light hood replacement glass filters shall be fabricated in accordance with applicable requirements of MIL-L-85762A "Lighting, Aircraft, Interior, Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Compatible" dated 26 August 1988. All first tier references cited in the MIL-L shall be mandatory; lower tier references shall be used for guidance only. Delivery schedule is twelve weeks after contract award. This solicitation shall be released on or about August 10, 2000. This procurement is advertised as full and open competition. The Navy intends to release the solicitation, including any subsequent amendments, via the Internet. The solicitation will reside on the NAVAIR Home Page located in the World Wide Web (WWW).
