The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for "Pushbutton Cap Assembly for the Power Control Box of the EA-6b aircraft modified for night vision. Quantities for the cap assembly are: base quantity, 50: Option I quantity, 565; Option II Quantity, 250. Quantities for the Actuating Lens Switch base quantity is 10; Option I quantity 113; Option II quantity is 50. The Pushbutton Cap Assembly shall be a form, fit, function replacement of the "X" Pushbutton Cap Assembly of that used on the Pod Power Control, C-10804/Alq-99F(V) in the EA-6B. The pushbutton cap assembly shall be furnished with a filter, meeting both the chromaticity and radiance of Class A NVIS Green A per MIL-L-85762A when illuminated with a MS25237-327, T 1 " midget flanged incandescent light source and shall be 150 footlamberts at full rated voltage at a minimum. The Actuating Lens, Switch shall be a form, fit, function direct replacement of the Actuating Lens, Switch used on the Countermeasures Set Control C-10803/ALQ-99F(v) in the EA-6B. The Actuating Lens shall be furnished with a filter, meeting both the chromaticity and radiance of Class A NVIS Green A per MIL-L-85762A when illuminated with a 334711-1 incandescent light source and, as a minimum, shall be 150 footlamberts at full rated voltage. The Pushbutton Cap Assembly and Actuating Lens, Switch shall be fabricated in accordance with applicable requirements of MIL-L-85762A "Lighting, Aircraft, Interior, Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Compatible" dated 26 August 1988. All first tier references cited in the MIL-L shall be mandatory; lower tier references shall be used for guidance only. Delivery schedule is twelve weeks after contract award. This solicitation shall be released on or about August 10, 2000. This procurement is advertised as full and open competition. The Navy intends to release the solicitation, including any subsequent amendments, via the Internet. The solicitation will reside on the NAVAIR Home Page located in the World Wide Web (WWW).
