The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center, has a requirement for the Blood Bank, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced standing order to Blackhawk Biosystems, Inc. 12945 Alcosta Blvd. San Ramon, CA 94583 for reagent controls. Blackhawk Biosystems, Inc. manufacturers the only virotrol reagents for use with retro virus and hepatitis viral markers. The following items will be procured: CLIN 0001: Thirty-six (36) each Cat# 00104 Virotrol II, nine (9) each delivered each quarter; CLIN 0002: Twenty-four (24)each Cat# 00108 Virotrol HIV-1 Antigen, six (6) each delivered each quarter; CLIN 0003: Thirty-six (36)each Cat# 00110 Virotrol III, nine (9) each delivered each quarter; CLIN 0004: Twenty-four (24)each Cat# 00105 Virotrol HIV-2, six (6) each delivered each quarter. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base year period of one (1)year effective 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001 with three (3) year options. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competititve procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY01 funding.
