CLINICAL DATA FOR NURSING HOMES The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to negotiate and award a contract to the West Virginia Medical Institute (WVMI), on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement will provide HCFA with access to a large team of expert research nurses already deployed nationwide as well as analysts experienced with MDS, OSCAR and Medicare claims data. WVMI is a recognized expert in the management collection, analysis, documentation, and dissemination of long term care clinical data.
