COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 2,2000 PSA#2655 A -- KITTYHAWK WEEK, AN INDUSTRY _ AF REQUIREMENTS FORUM Air Force
Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate (AFRL/SN ) and the Kittyhawk
Chapter of the Association of Old Crows (AOC) will jointly sponsor its
annual _Kittyhawk Week_ on 18-21 September 2000 at the AFIT Auditorium
(Bldg 642), Area B, Wright-Patterson AFB OH. In a departure from
previous years, all sessions will be conducted at this location as
_joint_ sessions to maximize the opportunity for vital discussion and
interaction between DoD and Industry. Kicking off the technical
activities on Tuesday morning, 19 September, the Kittyhawk Chapter will
host an Aerospace Threats session. Mr. Charles Mangio, the National
Aerospace Intelligence Center Chief Scientist (NAIC/CA), will be the
Keynote Speaker. This session will focus on foreign threats in 2000 and
beyond, with briefings provided by NAIC, DIA, and MSIC. This is an
opportunity to find out what_s coming down the pike from a threat
perspective. On Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, 19-20
September, AFRL/SN will host a Users_ Requirements session. Mr. Tony
Grieco, OUSD(A&T), will be the Keynote Speaker. The agenda will include
briefings by ACC, AMC, AFSOC, AFRC, and AFSPC on future EW
requirements. On Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday, 20-21
September, AFRL/SN and the Kittyhawk Chapter will jointly host a
Programs Briefing session. Dr. Vince Russo, the Aeronautical Systems
Center Executive Director (ASC/CD), will be the Keynote Speaker. The
program will feature Electronic Warfare, Precision Engagement, and
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Application Thrust
briefings by AFRL/SN. In addition, FY01/02 new start information will
also be distributed. This is the _first and only_ opportunity to obtain
this information this year! The session will also feature selected DoD
program briefings, to include F-22, JSF, LAIRCM, Airborne Electronic
AOA, and TUT. Today_s top-level Government military and civilian
leaders will give presentations on all three days. This is a _three for
the price of one_ event. Registration fee for industry participants for
all three days is $175 (AOC members) and $200 (non-AOC members).
Government personnel attending will be charged no fee. The
classification of the conference is SECRET NOFORN. Clearly, this
conference is a _must attend_ for anyone involved in EW and information
