The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring Performance-Based Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping Services for the US Coast Guard Air Station (AS) Clearwater, FL 34622. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform grounds maintenance and landscaping services. The services shall include lawn mowing, trimming, edging, weed and pest control; trimming of shrubs and trees; removal and disposal of trash/debris, clippings, etc. from all areas, streets and sidewalks; maintenance of plant beds and mulch bedding areas; pruning of shrubbery; coordination of perennial and accent plants; planting of shrubs, sod and additional trees; maintenance of irrigation system; and maintenance and fertilization and aeration of improved, semi-improved, unimproved areas and athletic fields within the boundaries of the AS Clearwater. The solicitation will be issued utilizing FAR Part 12 Policies for the Acquisition of Commercial Items; and, FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. The estimated period of performance is for a base period of 12 months from 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001 with four (4) 12-month option periods, if exercised by the Government, not to exceed 60 months. This requirement is restricted HUBZONE for small business concerns (See Note 27). The standard industrial code is 0782 with a size standard of $5 million.
