Trail #311. The project involves restoration of 671 meters,
construction of 219 meters, obliterate 267 meters of existing trail.
Construct 34 meters of rail fence. Construction a 4 X 5 meter overlook.
Construct a 3.2 meter handrail. Construct handrail on 48 meters of
trail. Install one waterbar. Widen 4 meters of easy designation and 17
meters of moderate trail. Trail widening with bench placement of 7
benches. Install two benches at the Big Tree area. Install 8 grade
dips. Install 19 meters of bank stabilization. Construct one fence
crossing. Construct one 4 meter bridge. This is an unrestricted
solicitation, estimated value is $25,000 -- $100,000. Estimated start
work date is 10/1/00. To reach the project site; from Tonasket take
State Route 20 East for 24 miles to Bonaparte Recreation Area exit on
Okanogan County road #4953 which turns into NF system road #32.
Continue on NF system road #33 North for 5 miles to a four corner
junction, take NF system road 333-050 for 1 mile to the Lost Lake
Campground. The trail starts across the road from the Lost Lake Guard
