Principle aspects of the work include: removal of existing interior electrical and plumbing system utilities; careful and selective demolition of interior finish features including doors and corresponding frames and interior walls as specified; restoring, reproducing and replacing various items of interior hardware; reinstalling stud and plaster partition walls at their historic locations; repairing historic architectural woodwork and replacing missing architectural woodwork; replacing sections of loose and cracked lath and plaster walls and ceilings with plaster and gypsum board and veneer plaster; repairing and reinstalling historic wood doors and fabricating and installing wood doors to match missing historic doors; preparing and painting all finished interior surfaces; uncovering, repairing and refinishing historic wood plank floors; repairing existing brick masonry fireplaces; and procuring and installing new utility systems including heating, electrical, fire detection and suppression, intrusion alarm and telephone systems and lighting fixtures. Construction estimate for this work is between $250,000 and $500,000.
