ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: 11 AUG 2000. ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Between
$250,000 and $500,000.00. Project AJXF 96-1585 consists of providing
all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all
operations necessary to provide new and modify existing boiler-burner
controls and instrumentation including a new boiler control panel and
new building addition, located at Building 3409. Major items of work
include, but are not limited to: Removal and storage of existing
boiler-burner controls, indicated to be reused. Provide new building
addition to house new boiler control panel. Provide new boiler control
panel, and new and existing boiler controls, for existing Boilers 1
through 5. Perform preliminary boiler-burner operational test on each
unit. Perform operational tests with all boiler controls functional and
on line. Test fuel burning and combustion control equipment on each
boiler with each type of fuel. Test each boiler_s combustion under
varying loads. Submit certification on test results and provide
demonstration and training for operating personnel. Total contract
performance period is 150 calendar days. The proposed procurement is
being issued as an unrestricted acquisition. Award will be made to the
offeror who the Government determines can best accomplish the
necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP in a
manner most advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may
submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The
Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low
offeror. Offer guarantee required when requested by the Contracting
Officer. For information purposes, the applicable Standard Industrial
Classification Code (SIC) is 1711. Copies of the solicitation,
blueprints and specifications are only available by downloading from
http://www.eps.gov/ the Government FedBizOpps . Written or facsimile
requests for paper copies will no longer be accepted. It is the
offerors responsibility to download all documents for the solicitation

later than ten (10) days prior to closing, to ensure proper and timely
