(i)This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation in accordance with the commercial practices in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation No.F19650-00-Q-0037 is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) (iii) CLIN 0001 -- The requirement is for furniture for a pharmacy prescription dispensing area to include 4 prescription processing modules with above-counter and below-counter storage areas and 3 medication storage shelf units. Work will consist of furnishing all plans, labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation necessary to perform all operations in connection with the installation of above described furniture as described in the Performance Work Statement. (iv) Work should begin on or about 21 August 2000 (v) Clauses 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. (vi) 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: Professional specifications, past performance, price and price related factors and delivery schedule considered in descending order of importance as listed here. In addition, when all other factors are combined they are more important than price. The government will select a professionally superior offer if it is determined that the additional professional merit is worth the additional cost in relation to the other proposals received. Furthermore, the government may reject any or all offers if such action is in the public interest or waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received. Professional capability will be determined from the information submitted by the Offeror providing a description in sufficient detail to show the product offered meets the government's requirements.
