This is a Request for Information to determine industry interest in
providing a televised/video Patient Education Program on health-related
topics to be viewed in Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities. The
purpose of the Patient Education Program is to enhance patients
awareness of findings in the field of medicine. This service shall be
available Air Force wide. For the purposes of this market research, the
government is interested in determining the availability of contractors
who can provide the following requirements: 1) Government must have
option of satellite or CDI deployment. 2) Content must cover full
spectrum of health related topics specifically for Patient Education
and not Medical Staff Education and be new and updated monthly 3)
Government shall have 2 minutes broadcasting time each month 4) Content
shall be cleared by the appropriate National Medical Advisory Board
before broadcasting 5) Hands free presentation system to be
self-winding and automatically work only during the hours of Clinic
operation of 0700-1700 hours. 6) Provide monthly program content guide
with each month's new program 7) Provide only quality health related
commercials 8) Provide a disclaimer within the content of program
viewing capability 9) Contractor shall be responsible for installation,
maintenance, and service on all contractor installed equipment (any
repairs, service or maintenance shall be made within a 24 hour time
frame of notification) at no cost to the government 10) The viewing
screen contained in secured cabinet shall be no smaller than 25 inches.
