Construct a 30,000 sf(+/-) gravel parking lot off White Oak Gap Road (FDR#244) on the Chattooga Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest in northeast Georgia. The project includes clearing and grubbing, excavation and grading, erosion control, aggregate surfacing, signing, fencing, landscaping, and miscellaneous items of work. PROJECT LOCATION: From Helen, Georgia, go north on state route 17 approximately 0.3 miles. Turn left onto state route 356 and go approximately 2.0 miles and turn right onto the Richard Russell Scenic Highway (SR 348). Go approximately 2.0 miles and turn left onto White Oak Gap Road (FDR244). The area where the parking lot will be built is on the left immediately after crossing the White Oak timber bridge.
