labor, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary
construction of every nature, and services and facilities necessary to
complete the electrical upgrades of the facility including incidental
work described in the Solicitation Package contract documents. A
pre-proposal conference will be conducted August 17, 2000 @ 1:00 p.m.
at the Processing & Distribution Center, 1135 Broadway NE, Albuquerque,
NM. The work includes, but is not limited to: 1) Replacement of
existing panelboards and dry type transformers where indicated and
revising locations to provide National Electric Code (NEC) working
clearances; 2) Removal of all neutral to ground bond connections with
in panelboards, providing proper ground connections to secondary(s) of
dry tupe transformers per NEC Section 240-64(b) (c) and (d). Replacing
and/or installing ground bushings on all conduits; 3) Installation of
ground wires in all branch circutis; 4) Identifying all branch circuits
in panelboards and provide tupe schedules of circuit breaker usage; 5)
Replacing of duplex receptacles and cover plates along with labeling
of each receptacle; 6) Repairing the existing Lightning Protection
System with the expansion of the Lightning Protection System to cover
the loading dock canopy; 7) A complete inspection with re-certification
of the Lightning Protection System is included. The project will be bid
a single sum contract. Site access and construction areas will be
limited. Extensive construction coordination and sequencing are
required to ensure full time operation of the existing facility.
Estimated construction cost range is between $650,000 and $750,000. The
construction performance period is 180 calendar days. Plans and
