All work is to repair large industrial type water tank at Little Mountain Site approximately 15 miles west of North Ogden Utah. It is a 650,000 gallon tank, 85 feet wide and 21 feet high. Tank has no top and water level maintained about 18 feet. The entire inside of the tank is to be refinished as called out in the specifications. Government personnel will drain water from tank, when notified in writing by contractor. It is anticipated there will be 3 to 4 inches of sludge (debris) at bottom of tank and contractor will be responsible for cleaning before starting work. Contractor will run a circuit from a building 100 feet east of tank for the cathodic protection rectifier to be installed as part of this project. Before sand blasting operations, weld up any cavities on the tank interior surface to the thickness of the original metal. Repair shall include surface preparation, primer, and two topcoats to match existing. Contractor shall repair any damage to surface caused by his personnel. May require to work weekends or evenings. Performance Period 120 calendar days Estimated Range $25,000 to $100,000 The approximate issue/response date will be 21 AUG 2000. The anticipated award date will be 20 Sep 2000.
