The work consists of lowering and raising of two bulkheads in water quality control wet well, pumping of in-flowing water, removal of one gate from operation, disassembling two water quality control gate assemblies, inspection and preparation of condition report, replacement of various parts on both gate assemblies, welding to repair bonnets on gates, removal of lead-based paint and re-painting, inspection, lubrication, and adjustment of Limitorque motor used to raise and lower the water quality control gates, removal and replacement of the gate's position indicator control system, and the reassembly of both water control gates and re-installation of one assembly back into operation. The issue date for the solicitation is on, or about, Aug. 16, 2000, with bid opening on, or about Sept.15, 2000. Solicitation documents will be furnished on CD-ROM only; hard copies will not be available. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. One copy of the CD-ROM will be furnished to each requestor at no charge. Requests for a CD-ROM shall be made by registering at the Web site listed below.
