Tisone, Contracting Officer, (301) 757-5945 The Naval Air Systems Command is announcing this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to obtain prototyping and demonstration proposals of a Precision Terrain Aided Navigator (PTAN) for use on the Tactical Tomahawk (R/UGM-109E) missile. Mission Planning system prototypes are not part of this solicitation. The cognizant Program Office, PMA-280, intends that offerors will propose a 24 month or less effort that is consistent with the applicable Statement of Objectives. The government is aware of industry progress in the area of precision terrain aided navigation. The goal of this effort will be to provide a feasibility demonstration and risk reduction prototyping of PTAN elevation sensor and navigation update processing technology while performing the preliminary design of a PTAN suitable for transition to an Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) program.
