NAWC AD Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Raytheon Support Services Co. Burlington, MA, to procure six (6) each of the following : Transducer Socket Protector P/N 1366914, Reel Support Assembly P/N 1366917, RMIU Shorting Plugs P/N 1366919, Stave Assembly Extractor P/N 1366922, Stave Connector Extractor P/N 1366923, Top Plate Extractor P/N 1366924, Quick Disconnect Key Extractor P/N 1366925, Reel Handle P/N 1366916, and Reel Machine Lifting Fixture P/N 1366915 as components of the Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) System for support of the CH-60 Aircraft. This system is required for correct operation of the aircraft. As the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the ALFS System, Raytheon is the only known company capable of producing these components. The Government does not own the data, drawings, or technical specifications necessary to produce this system or to conduct full and open procurement. . All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals must be received within fifteen 15 days. Responses must reference N68335-00-Q-0228. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
