Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor intends on
negotiating a 100% small business set-aside commercial contract for the
following item: Item 0001 -- Assemble two (2) existing Government owned
20' X 40' single story modular buildings on new portable foundation.
Provide two (2) new foundations including structural support beams to
accommodate existing buildings. Statement of work for platform: SUPPORT
PLATFORM. Scope: A modular steel support structure shall be provided
for each existing 20' X 40' exterior modular building. This support
structure shall provide a minimum125 psf uniform load, allow the
assembled modular building to withstand 100 mph hurricane wind load and
allow the assembled modular buildings to be lifted and transported by
crane or forklift without any damage or deformity due to stresses
caused by the movement. The support platform shall be constructed of
structural steel members and steel tubing including vertical members
required to strengthen the modular building roof structure. The support
system design must be certified by a licensed structural engineer who
shall stamp associated drawings and calculations. Support Columns:
Vertical support columns shall be minimum 6" X 6" X 1/4" steel tubing
with steel plate flanges for connections to perimeter channels. A
minimum of 6 columns are required per modular building. Trusses: Steel
tubing trusses 6" X 6" X 1/4" minimum shall be provided to span the
20' width of the existing modular buildings with a 3/12 slope gable
roof design. A minimum of 3 trusses with steel plate flanges for bolted
connections are required. Perimeter Channels: Perimeter structural
C-sections 12 X 20.7 minimum with steel plate flanges for bolted
connections shall be provided to attach to the support columns and
provide support for the floor beams. Floor Beams: Wide flange
structural steel beams shall be provided to span the 20' building width
and support the floor deck on 4' centerlines. They shall be pre-drilled
for attachment to the perimeter channels. Roof Beams: A 12' ridge beam
and two intermediate beams shall be provided to support the roof
panels. They shall have steel plate flanges for bolted connections.
Decking: Corrigated steel decking, minimum 1 1/2" X 22 ga galvanized
steel with 1 1/8"T & G plywood shall be provided for the floor decking.
Ramp Landings: A 4' X 4' landing shall be provided with structural
steel stringers, steel checkered plate top and ramp,and 2-rail handrail
with 4' high toekick on two sides. Landings shall be pre-fabricated and
pre-drilled for bolted connection to support platform. Hardware: All
bolts and nuts shall be galvanized A325 grade and sized to meet
structural capacity fastening requirements. All other screws and
fasteners shall be stainless steel. Finish: All steel members shall be
coated with a minimum one coat of exterior grade primer and two coats
of exterior grade enamel paint. Pre-production Drawings. Support
structure drawings shall be submitted for Pearl Harbor Shipyard/IMF
review/concurrence prior to start of fabrication. Drawings for existing
buildings will be provided upon request. Qty 1 Lot. The FSC Code is
5670. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this
procurement is 3441 and 500 respectively. All contractors must also be
registered in the Central Contracting Registration database to be
eligible for Department of Defense contract awards. Solicitation not
available until 15 days after published in the CBD. All qualified
