The Marine Corps intends to procure a sole source contract with Peoplenet Communications Corp, 1107 Hazeltine Blvd., Suite 350-MD#53, Chaska, Mn. 55318-1007, for the following items. 1. Vehicle locating and Installation Kits, standard equipment includes the Locating/GPS Device, cabling, communications and a GPS antenna; quantity; 41 ea. 2. LCD Message Display Kits, bright and easy to read allows you to send up to 128 custom designed, preprogrammed messages or any free form message of up to 240 characters to your drivers at any time. Likewise, drivers may choose from 32 custom designed pre-programmed messages, free form text or "forms" type messages to sent to dispatch. quantity; 41 each. 3. Handset Kits, voice handset is a fully functional three-watt cellular phone, designed for maximum nationwide coverage. The voice Handset provides safe, hands-free operation and 100 speed dial memory locations, as as many other features, PNCC's unique call Management program means you can control what numbers a driver can (or cannot) call and how many minutes of voice minutes per month the driver is able to use. No solicitation is available. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
