This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-00-T-0041. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This is a brand-name restricted acquisition; the standard industrial classification code is 3572. Place of delivery and acceptance is at Edwards AFB, CA, with an FOB destination. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), 411th Flight Test Squadron (411 FLTS), Edwards AFB has a requirement for Rack Mounted Output Reproducer (RMOR) units to support the data acquisition hardware being installed by Lockheed on the F-22 Avionics EMD test aircraft. The following items are required: 8 each P/N RMOR-2000D, Rack Mount Output Reproducer; 8 each P/N DMX-100, Demultiplexer Card; 8 each P/N SOC-102, two-channel serial output card; and 8 each P/N DVC-101D, one-channel video reproducer card. There are no substitutes or equal allowed on this contract action. Edwards AFB intends to purchase these units from Teletronics Technology Corp unless other offerors can provide the RMOR units and support the compatibility requirements between Lockheed-Martin Aeronautical Company and AFFTC, with better terms and conditions.
