The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Microbiology, Laboratory Medicine Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced standing order to Becton Dickinson 7 Loveton Circle, Sparks, MD 21152. Becton Dickinson manufactures the blood culture bottled media that is used with the Bactec automated system in the laboratory. The following items will be procured: CLIN 0001: Eighty four (84) boxes Cat# 4402192 BACTEC 26F Vials, Aerobic, seven (7) boxes delivered monthly; CLIN 0002: Eighty four (84) boxes Cat# 4402193 BACTEC 27F Vials, Anaerobic, seven (7) boxes delivered monthly; CLIN 0003: Twenty four (24) boxes Cat# 4402194 BACTEC Peds Vials, two (2) boxes delivered monthly. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base year period of one (1) year effective 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001 with one (1) year option. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
