This requirement is for the AN/ASN-157 Doppler Navigation Set (DNS), NSN: 6605-01-323-9061, P/N P510A003-02, Performance Specification R201A191A100. This acquisition will be made on a sole-source basis to BAE Systems in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The DNS shall be a self- contained airborne unit that determines the three orthogonal components of aircraft velocity from measurements of the Doppler radar frequency shift and provides position data in the Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) and the latitude-longitude (lat/long) coordinate systems. In either coordinate system, control of the following DNS data and mode functions shall take place via the SAE AS 1553 data bus as defined in SAE AS 1553 ICD for AN/ASN-157.
