D -- HELPDESK AND OTHER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SERVICES SOL 290000-00-P-0018 POC Eric Vogt (202) 326-2259 The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has a requirement for Facilities Management Support Services. The scope of the service is specified under five required service areas and one optional area: OA Technical Support Facility, LAN Management Facility, Hardware Repair/Parts/Inventory, Desktop Development Service, Front Desk Services, and Regional Office Support (optional). A brief description of these fuctional areas follows. OA Technical Support Facility services are to respond to and resolve requests for computer, network, and printer related support from FTC staff, and to provide preventive maintenance services and certain in-house repairs of workstation, printer and other equipment located in FTC offices; LAN Management Facility services are, among other things, to monitor the servers and gateways, to verify that server functions are active, carry out computer security responsibilities related to the LAN facility, to diagnose and resolve all network-related problems, etc.; Hardware Repair/Parts/Inventory services are for control and maintenance of the parts for PCs, printers and various related equipment; Desktop Development Services, among other things, encompass fixes of systematic problems through routine releases of patches to existing software, release of new versions of software, updating desktop configurations, management control and distribution of files, etc. Front Desk Services are walk up services from a counter in the Helpdesk office space, whcih includes, loan program maintenance, audit and operation, check-in support, support with the distribution of software for home use, coordination and management of requests for special services and other information related to ITM services; Regional Office Support (optional). Services shall be provided on-site at the FTC, Washington, DC. Contract to include Base Year and four option years. It is anticipated that the closing date for receipt of proposals will be September 22, 2000. This requirement is Set-Aside 100% for Small Business.
