Invitation to submit a "Letter of Interest" and qualifications package. Companies meeting the following prerequisites are invited to submit materials demonstrating their capabilities to provide products and services to the Naval Medical Information Management Center (NMIMC), Bethesda, Md. This invitation is not a solicitation for services and may not result in a contract award. Please respond if your: Company is currently on the GSA schedule; Company has recent and current experience in web development and experience with at least the latest version of the following applications: JAVA / XML / HTML / SQL / Oracle/WebDB/Active Server Page/VisualBasic/VBScript/JAVAScript/USP/ADABAS/MS Access/Sybase; Company has recent and current experience with web security and its application to the Internet, Intranets and Extranets; Company is able to respond to trouble calls and can participate in on-site meetings within one hour; Company is familiar with NMIMC's role in Navy Medicine and web applications it supports;Company has personnel who qualify for a security clearance to handle classified material; Company has no conflict of interest with working for NMIMC and its other contractors; Company has experience converting applications from client/server to a web-enabled environment; If your company has the above experience and capability and is interested, you may submit the following not later than 14 August 2000: A white paper that describes your company's specific experience; (a)Web development/support activity in the past year; (b)Software applications with which you routinely work; (c)Capabilities in general and recent customers; (d)Familiarity with NMIMC's web requirements; (e)Identify similiar support provided to other organizations and how your company would assist NMIMC with its web support requirements; (f)Detail 5 proposed enchancements or emerging web developments that NMIMC might adopt in 2001. The white paper shall be limited to 20 pages in total, single spaced, and shall be 12 point Times New Roman. A hardcopy and an electronic version shall be submitted. Provide URL information for sites that may be visited to view examples of the company's web development work. Provide PowerPoint slides detailing key aspects of your white paper. There is no limit to the number of slides submitted; however, your company must use all slides in an oral presentation lasting no more than 30 minutes to be delivered by one presenter. Once the white papers and presentation materials have been received, oral presentations will take place on the campus of the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD during the period 21-22 August 2000. The date, time and location of each oral presentation will be provided to the respondent. Oral presentations should contain no pricing information from past projects or for any anticipated work. Responses to this invitation and the oral presentation will be used to identify a group of qualified respondents. NMIMC will offer an overall ranking of all respondents by evaluating both the white paper andoral presentation together. Offerors are encouraged to critically assess their chances of success based on the ranking before incurring any expense to prepare a proposal in response to any forthcoming RFP.
