H -- HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ABATEMENT MONITORING (LETTERMAN COMPLEX) SOL RFP-2000-019 POC Linda Wong, Contracting Officer, (415) 561-5352 The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to perform oversight and monitoring services during the abatement and salvage phases of the deconstruction/demolition project at the site of the former Letterman Hospital Complex, located at the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Scope of services may include but is not limited to: (a) Regulatory compliance monitoring and schedule tracking during the removal of asbestos containing materials, lead based paint, PCB containing light ballasts, fluorescent tubes and mercury containing switches by the Trust's abatement contractor; (b) Sampling and laboratory analyses; and (c) Project Summary Report. Estimated start date late September 2000. Estimated number of shifts from 175 to 240, based upon the approved abatement schedule (to be determined); may be multiple shifts per day. Minimum qualifications include: Cal-OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant/Site Surveillance Technician; State of California Department of Health Services Lead Certified Inspector/Assessor; Certificate of Insurance; and minimum five (5) years Industrial Hygienist experience on similar projects. Proposals will be evaluated based upon criteria set forth in the Request for Proposals (RFP), including but not limited to: (a) Proposed Price; (b) Experience on projects of similar scope and complexity; and (c) Past Performance, including references.
