U.S. Army Materiel Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division intends to competitively acquire testing services to determine the resistance of Chemical Protective Patient Wraps to chemical warfare agents. These wraps have been kept in storage for a number of years and the objective of this stock surveillance effort is to ensure that the patient wraps meet the performance requirements and to determine if the generated data will justify extending the shelf life of these items. Results will be due three months after the receipt of test samples from the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command, Natick, MA. The test samples will be available on or about 1 October 2000. A firm fixed price contract is planned. All deliveries shall be F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, Natick, MA. A best value source selection will be based on the offeror's past performance and proposed price in that order of importance. This acquisition is unrestricted. Offerors must provide evidence that they are certified as an approved Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) Chemical Agent Laboratory Facilities. The Standard Industrial Classification is 8734 and the size standard is $5 million in annual receipts.
