S -- - INTENT TO NEGOTIAGE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH THE PSMFC. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Purpose of contract is to collect economic and market data from the liabut charter fishery in Alaska. The data will help form a baseline of information that will be used for analysis of the effects of a halibut charter IFQ program on recreational anglers. The data collected will also be used to help inform future data collection efforts and the design of a longer-term research project. PSMC routinely coordinated research projects across agencies and various teams of individuals, and undertakes specailized economnic research projects.
