New York VA Healthcare Network (VISN 2) is evaluating a proposal from
a physician provider for the performance of consultant services to
oversee the development and expansion of its FairCare Program to other
VA locations and sharing partners on a national basis. Consultant
services will focus on areas of improving pain management and
palliative medicine within the VA facilities that are using the
FairCare Program. The successful offeror must be available to do local
educational as well as supervisory forums at various locations within
Eastern Region of the United States. The Physician candidate must be
familiar with VA Healthcare, be Board Certified in Internal Medicine,
as well as Pain Medicine, and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. The
physician candidate should be familiar with the FairCare Model with
FairCare Advanced Illness Coordinated Care training program. The
physician candidate should be available for onsite supervision
throughout the VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York, as well as
Boston, Massachusetts. VISN 2 is conducting a market research to
identify potential sources who are interested, qualified, and capable
of providing these services. Prospective offerors are invited submit
information on the qualifications and capabilities to provide these
specialized services, together with a proposal detailing its approach
to performing the consultant services for VISN 2. Please include names,
