The National Park Service is soliciting proposals (in the form of a
negotiated firm-fixed price contract requiring submission of both a
technical and price proposal). The work to be performed under these
documents generally describes the general rehabilitation of
Independence National Historic Park, Bishop White House Utility Rehab.
The estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Proposed
work includes replacing HVAC equipment and appurtenances. Installing
new reheat coils, humidifiers, and DDC controls. Replace some existing
exposed ductwork and transitions, and clean and reuse existing
ductwork. Connecting HVAC equipment to the central chilled and heating
water systems. Connect DDC controls to data highway and chiller plant
DDC control system and modify chiller plant DDC head end software to
recognize new building points. Provide power distribution system
equipment, conduit, and wiring for new HVAC equipment. Upgrade or
replace power distribution equipment, conduit, and wiring. Provide new
fire detection and alarm system. Provide new automatic fire sprinkler
system. Install new innerduct and fiber optic cable in existing
conduit to make a continuous connection to the command center/chiller
plant. Provide fiber optic patch panels and connections as required.
Provide additional lighting. Additional lighting shall include new
fixtures, new emergency lighting UPS unit, conduit, and wiring. Install
conduit for future security system. Provide accessible ramp and
entrance through Headquarters, 311-313 Walnut Street to the Bishop
White House. Proposed work will take place at 309, 311, 313 Walnut
Street, Independence National Historic Park, Philadelphia, PA. Time for
completion is 180 calendar days from notice to proceed. All requests
for project documents must be submitted in writing to the National Park
Service, 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, PO Box 25287, Denver, CO 80225 or
faxed to 303-987-6645. The RFP will be available approximately 21 days
from publication of this notice. Proposal receipt date isapproximate
and actual dates will be established at the time the RFP is available.
The NPS contemplates site visits two weeks after the RFP is issued.
