Valdez, (303) 236-5900 ext 424 The U.S. Geological Survey, EROS Data Center, Sioux Falls, SD, has a requirement to retrofit existing manual elevator freight doors with new automatic freight doors. Contractor shall be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment necessary to retrofit three (3) existing Thyssen Dover manual elevator freight doors with three new automatic freight door controllers. The existing elevator is a 5000-pound freight, serial number E-F1198. The elevator has two stops, one on the first floor and one in the basement. The existing elevator door layout includes doors that open at either end on the first floor and only one opening in the basement area. Contractor shall be required to provide all parts, components, equipment, and accessories necessary for proper operating automatic elevator doors once all retrofitting work has been complete. A site visit shall be scheduled for Tuesday, August 8, 2000 at 9:00 am. Quotes shall be due of August 15, 2000.
