Furnish all labor, material, equipment, and qualified supervision necessary to Replace Elevator Controls, Phase 2, at Chicago Healthcare System (Lakeside Division). The intent of the project is to rebuild the cars, replace controls and selected equipment for the four (4) main service elevators (S-5 through S-8) and renovate the service hoist way. The service elevator shall retain existing overhead gearless traction machines, secondary sheaves, machines beams, main and counterweight rails, buffers, counterweights, entrance frames, sills, hanger supports, strut angles, fascia plates and toe gurds, car slings, platforms, cabs and hoistway doors. The demolition work includes removal of elevator cars, control equipment, and miscellaneous components. The new work includes: rebuild elevator cars, replace controls and other equipment and fixtures. Provide full maintenance of elevators S-5 through S-8 for the duration of the construction period in accordance with specifications. Also, provide warranty period service and full maintenance for two (2) years after completion of construction in accordance with specifications.
