Principal features of the work include the following: Earthwork for and construction of about 430 feet of county road/dike embankment, earthwork for and construction of about 1250 feet of township road, excavation of 642 feet of spillway inlet channel, earthwork for and repair of about 1975 feet of dike, removal and salvaging of four corrugated metal culverts (each culvert 38-inch by 57-inch by 40 feet long), furnishing and installing two double cell and a single cell precast reinforced concrete box culvert control structure thru the county road (each cell 10 feet wide by 6 feet high by 64 feet long), demolition and removal of an existing 5-foot by 5-foot by 46.5-foot long reinforced concrete low water control structure thru the county road, furnishing and installing two double cell precast reinforced concrete box culvert spillway structures thru the township road (each cell 14 feet wide by 4 feet high by 40-feet long), gravel surfacing for the top of the county and township roads at four construction sites, furnishing and placing riprap on the county and township road sideslopes at the four construction sites, gravel bedding under the box culverts at two construction sites, furnishing and installing miscellaneous metalwork consisting of metal stoplogs, stoplog lifting devices, steel safety grating, and railing. The estimated price range of the work is $500,001 to $1,000,000. The work is located approximately 5 miles northeast of Moffit, North Dakota, in Burleigh County. Solicitation packages will be available approximately August 28, 2000. Bid opening is tentatively set for 10:00 a.m., September 28, 2000, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway, Bismarck, North Dakota. The contract must be completed within 365 days after receipt of notice to proceed. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order in the amount of $9.00 for each copy.
